Legal Document Check Service – £250

In some locations where you can get married you may decide to book the wedding directly with the hotel or venue in which you want to marry in. In this case, we offer a documentation check service, to give you the peace of mind that your legal documents will be checked before you travel to ensure that there is time before you depart to get the documentation right.

Package Includes:
- Wedding Legal Documentation Checklist, outlining the legal process and important information related to getting married abroad
- Guidance / sample paperwork and/or marriage licence forms, where required
- Checking of legal documentation here in the UK before you travel

The hotel or venue could offer their own package and inclusions. Anything that is booked and paid for directly to the hotel or venue is arranged between yourselves and the hotel or venue. We will accept no responsibility for any arrangements booked and paid for directly with a hotel or venue in-resort.

Administration & Documentation Service – £400

If you are visiting a destination where the wedding package and/or arrangements are made directly with the hotel or venue, and paid for in local currency. You may require some help with regards to booking your wedding and checking your legal documentation but nothing further. In this case we offer an administration and documentation package.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

Coordination Planning Service - £500

In addition to our Standard Wedding Packages and Services, which offer you the opportunity of planning your wedding via your Online Wedding Profile, or directly with the coordinator in resort, some couples do prefer a more personal approach; particularly if they are planning a larger event. Once you have booked your wedding with us, you may wish to receive help and guidance over the telephone and/or by email (this can include detailed wedding arrangements including reception venue finding, sourcing menus for potential venues, booking and liaison with your venue to add on any wedding extras, booking of wedding reception arrangements and general telephone support), your weddings abroad specialist here in the UK will be pleased to provide a full coordination planning service for £500, in addition to the cost of your chosen wedding package.

FOR HELP, ADVICE AND TO BOOK: As each hotel offers something different why not give our professional team a call on 0844 770 8270 to help you decide which hotel would be most suited to your needs. Our team can book all of your travel arrangements including flights, accommodation and transfers in addition to your wedding package.

YOUR WEDDING EXTRAS: In addition to your wedding package you can add on as many wedding extras as you would like. For example additional photography, flowers, wedding cake, DVD's, wedding cars and much more! Whilst we encourage you to pre-arrange your extras where possible, if you would like to add on any last minute extras in-resort, you can do so with your in-resort wedding coordinator. To help you budget for your wedding reception and so you can keep track on how much you are spending, take advantage of one of our Prepaid Foreign Exchange Wedding Reception Cards, exclusively free for Perfect Weddings Abroad couples.

HONEYMOON GIFT REGISTRY SERVICE: We are pleased to offer you our unique Honeymoon Gift Registry Service, once registered your guests will have the opportunity to contribute to your honeymoon arrangements. You will be provided with Guest Cards, Thank You Cards and a Honeymoon Keepsake Book all beautifully presented in our Keepsake Box. Each couple will have their own Honeymoon Account which can be personalised with a photograph and message from the couple and your guests will be able to make contributions to your wedding and/or honeymoon online. A small fee of £25.00 will be charged for this service.

HOW TO BOOK YOUR PERFECT WEDDING ABROAD: Please call us on 0844 770 8270 to speak to a weddings abroad specialist. They will discuss with you the various options and book your chosen wedding package. You will be required to complete a wedding request form and we will note your preferred wedding date and time. Once your wedding is confirmed in resort we will then begin to make your travel arrangements. Your deposit will be required at the time of booking and your holiday and wedding package balance is due around 12-16 weeks before your departure from the UK. In some cases you may also be required to pay for pre-arranged extras in advance too. Full payment will be required for any reservations within sixteen weeks of departure. Any wedding reception charges or fees to registrars and venues are payable in-resort in local currency. If you book one of our Standard Wedding Packages, you will receive a wedding confirmation pack detailing what you have booked and how the process works in the lead up to your wedding.

FINANCIAL PROTECTION FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND: Perfect Weddings Abroad is a trading name of Travel Counsellors Limited. Travel Counsellors Limited is one of the UK’s largest independent travel agencies. Travel Counsellors prides itself on the exceptional level of personal service it offers its clients and the 100% financial protection they offer their customers. Travel Counsellors introduced its Trust Fund in September 2004 which is independently administered by Barclays Bank Trust Company. The Trust offers 100% financial protection so that in the event of a supplier failure, the monies paid for the failed service is fully protected.

DEPOSITS: A non-refundable wedding deposit* of £300.00 or 30% of the wedding package (whichever is greater) is taken at the time of booking - some resorts require a higher deposit than this and you will be advised at the time of booking if this is the case. In addition to this, we will take a deposit for your travel arrangements, this will be confirmed to you at the time of booking. *Deposits will only be refunded should your requested wedding dates not be available.

WEDDING ONLY FEE: We cannot be responsible for any travel arrangements you make independently. Booking your travel arrangements through us will ensure a smooth transition from departure to your wedding day. However if after making your wedding reservation you choose to make your own travel arrangements, or you only wish to book a wedding package through us a Wedding Only Fee will be added to your Wedding Package price of £300.00.

PRICES: As the wedding packages are often booked so far in advance there are many things beyond our control which can lead to a price increase on your wedding package after booking. These include (but not exclusively) Government Tax increases, Registrar Fee changes, Legal Document Fee amendments, Translations, Foreign Exchange fluctuations. Although we endeavour not to increase packages post-booking, we reserve the right to increase the cost of a package (without notice) as and when required, up until the date that the final balance of the wedding package is paid.

CANCELLATION: If in the unfortunate event that you need to cancel, then you can expect to lose at least any non-refundable deposits paid. In addition to this further cancellation charges may apply. Certain suppliers, hotels or venues may also charge further cancellation charges, which will be advised to you at this time.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Additional costs and/or fees (payable either in advance of departure or in-resort) may apply including registrar fees, hotel venue charges and legal documentation (where applicable). We will endeavour to advise you of these before booking, however sometimes certain fees may be applied after you have booked. Any fees quoted in foreign currency on this website are for guidance purposes only and are subject to change, without prior notice. We accept no responsibility for any incorrect fees shown in foreign currency on our website. Please check at the time of booking for the latest charges. All text/photographs are kindly supplied by tourist boards, hotels, venues, past customers and other suppliers.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: For your protection, travel insurance is now regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Travel Counsellors Limited is an Appointed Representative (AR) of Insure and Go Ltd. Insure and Go Ltd is authorised and regulated by the FSA and their registration number is 309572. Travel Counsellors’ FSA registration number is 493650. Each passenger should travel with adequate insurance cover. Such insurance will ensure that you are covered against unforeseen cancellation charges, medical costs incurred whilst away from home (subject to approval), personal liability claims, loss of money etc. Travel Counsellors Ltd can, as agent, offer you very competitive travel insurance premium. A quote can be given at the time of booking and full policy wordings and cover details can be obtained from your Travel Counsellor. Please make your Travel Counsellor aware of any pre-existing medical conditions of all party members at the time of your quotation, existing medical conditions and fitness to travel must be declared at the time of quotation and purchase otherwise the policy could be rendered null and void. We recommend that insurance is purchased at the time of booking to insure against possible cancellation costs.

STANDARD LEGAL DOCUMENTATION: Each wedding destination around the world varies as far as legal documents are concerned, so you should check this before booking. However, in general you will at least need Full Length Birth Certificates (showing both parents' names), Full and Valid 10 year British Passports (with at least 6 months validity upon your return to the UK), Divorce Decrees (where applicable), Deed Poll Certificates (where applicable) and Adoption Certificates (where applicable). You will also need photocopies of yours and your witnesses passports too. In some locations further document is required, including: Affidavits, Certificates of Non-Impediments, Apostille Stamps from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Translations, Legalised Documents, Previous Marriage Certificates and more. In all cases, original documents or certified copies are required in order for your wedding to take place. Some locations require you to carry your documents with you in your hand luggage, whereas others require you to send documents in advance.
