Can readings be incorporated in to my ceremony
Can readings be incorporated in to my ceremony?
Some couples like to 'pad out' / 'extend' the ceremony by adding in additional vows or readings. In most cases this is fine, however some registrars do not permit this, or will not allow this to take place in their presence (due to time restrictions, work commitments or other factors); so please do not be offended if the registrar has to leave before you can do this, or please be prepared that the additional vows/readings may not be possible at all. This often does not come down to the country or resort that you are marrying in; it's often down to the individual registrar on the day, even perhaps the mood that the registrar is in on the day! So we highly recommend that you don't plan to add-in additional vows/readings; perhaps try to incorporate these elsewhere in to your celebrations, such as your wedding reception.
