Do my guests have to stay at the same hotel as the bride and groom

Do my guests have to stay at the same hotel as the bride and groom?

This depends on the hotel's own individual policies and you should discuss this with your Weddings Abroad Specialist before booking. Some couples prefer the guests to stay at other hotels so that they can have peace and quiet! whilst some prefer to all stay together in one hotel. Generally speaking, most hotels would prefer it if all of the guests stayed at their hotel, however bear in mind there may be some restrictions, such as those hotels which are 'adults only' for example. A handful of hotels stipulate that all of the guests must stay together in the hotel for you to be permitted to have your wedding and/or reception there (for example the Sport Hotel Kristall, Kaprun, Austria). Other hotels stipulate that you must have a percentage of your guests stay in the hotel for you to be allowed to get married there, often more than 80%. This is more common in the Caribbean and Mexico than other parts of the world, and often applies to hotel chains such as RIU and Iberostar - you should always check before your guests book their travel arrangements; as this can cause problems at a later date. Trying to break these rules can lead to a hotel refusing your wedding booking.
